and yes it is one I vowed I would never create !!
After all - why would I risk my own business to enrich other peoples?
Well I guess having been a book cover photographer for 20 years and my work gracing over 1000 book covers in over 50 countries
I “now” feel confident enough to pass on my wealth of knowledge within this clandestine secretive field
BUT WHY CHOOSE DAVE WALL?

Not only have I been producing book covers since 2004 I have also been a Photographic Trainer since 1988 travelling the world running training events for many industry leaders

This course has been put together with great care to ensure delegates will come away knowing ALL there is to know about the Business of Book Cover Photography. This is a FIXED CONTENT course it is highly structured to ensure each and every element is covered in it's entirety.

This course is a 12 hour 1-on-1 marathon of information, and although I hate the phrase it REALLY is "a business in a box"
Portfolio Review - We will go through a collection of your images discussing why certain images might sell and why they might not - After each review a set of tasks will be given (based on your own strengths and weaknesses) for our next session
Retraining your brain to think like a book cover photographer (it is TOTALLY different in content and composition than any other area of photography)
Choosing a book cover genre that suits YOU and YOUR shooting style (it's not all blood, guts and gore ..... that is just me and my style)
How to maximise your images to increase sales potential
THE PLAYERS - taking a look at the relevant agencies and see what they can offer you
We will be covering the dirty subject of MONEY - Why do people avoid this? YES I will be talking about earning potentials and backing it up with my royalty statements !!
HOW TO GET NOTICED - through accurate keywording and image titling - what seems so simple can be a total minefield, and if done badly you will lose you sales - FACT
GEAR - is your gear good enough?
GETTING ORGANISED - and STAYING organised to ensure a smooth streamlined workflow - and - to ensure you don't get yourself in hot water with regards licensing though lack of knowledge
BORING ADMIN STUFF - YES sadly even Book Cover Photography has boring stuff that needs doing

This is a GREAT question and one I get asked all the time
For years people have been asking for this course and I have always declined as I have not wanted to impact my own sales (call me selfish).
However after much deliberation I have finally succumbed - my work is recognised around the world and I am finally quite comfortable with the thought that my business is safe
Please note training is Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (UK Time) Anything outside of these hours is strictly by prior arrangement
